Admission Requirements:

Applicants must hold a bachelors degree from an accredited 4-year institution. 
The degree does not need to be in fine art, but the applicant should be able to
demonstrate the required knowledge and ability through their statement and
portfolio work.

Application should include:

Application - printed or completed online HERE

Resume CV - Attached to online application or mailed with application materials.

3 letters of recommendation - mailed directly to the office of admissions.

Official Transcripts from each undergraduate institution attended. If entire undergraduate degree was achieved outside the US (not study-abroad) then you will need to follow the directions for International Applicants

Statement of Intent - a one to two-page description of the applicant’s interest and identity as an artist and his or her professional plans/goals

Interview - by phone or in person. The latter is much preferred. To make an appointment for an interview, email Susan Viguers. (svigures@uarts.edu)

Portfolio of 20-30 digital images (images should be submitted via SlideRoom at - uartsgrad.slideroom.com - directions on how to upload your portfolio and a video tutorial can be found on the SlideRoom website) The images should represent the applicant’s full range of studio experience, preferably including printmaking and book arts. Images must be clearly identified and must be accompanied by an inventory list giving title (or other identification), size, medium, and date of completion. Applicants are also encouraged to submit selected original work. Original work should be mailed directly to the director of the program or dropped off at the time of the interview. Self-addressed, stamped packaging for return of original work must be provided.
